Despite wet conditions, the turnout was fantastic, with runners embracing the challenge and community spirit.
On Saturday, April 19th, the village of Kilmovee buzzed with early morning activity as runners and walkers arrived for the much-loved annual Easter tradition – the Kilmovee 10k and 5k. Participants made their way to the Shamrocks GAA clubhouse to collect their race numbers before heading to the nearby start line.
Now in its 14th year, the event once again raised vital funds for Mayo Roscommon Hospice and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA, supported by a dedicated network of volunteers, marshals, medical staff, hospitality teams, race timers, and generous sponsors. Since its inaugural run in 2011, Kilmovee10k has become a finely tuned community effort – and 2025 was no exception.
