The Kilmovee 5K, held on Easter Saturday, April 19, 2025, saw impressive performances from two Campbells.
Kieran Campbell clinched the men’s title with a time of 17:32, while Judith Campbell of Galway City Harriers secured the women’s victory in 20:32, also earning the W50 category win.
The event, part of the annual Kilmovee 10K & 5K Road Race in County Mayo, attracted runners and walkers of all capabilities. The fast and flat course, measured and chip-timed, provided ideal conditions for participants. Race HQ was at the Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA Clubhouse, with the start line approximately 1km away from the Kilmovee Community Centre.
Proceeds from the race support the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA, reflecting the community’s commitment to charitable causes.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition of the Kilmovee 10K & 5K Road Race, held every Easter Saturday since 2011, fostering community spirit and athletic excellence.
